What is it?: A 5 part, episodic narrative short film exploring what it takes to have meaningful conversations within the context of church youth small groups. In addition, we want to film a separate conversation with the actors playing Whit and Ryan to get an idea of the challenges facing underrepresented people in the U.S. today. The goal is to use the films to start honest conversations with students about difficult topics.

Dates: First week of October 2018, 2 shooting days (12 hour days) 1 rehearsal day (6 hours) which would be paid as a half day. The evening of rehearsal day will be a cast and crew dinner (provided by CIY.) Exact dates TBD.
Overtime if necessary will be paid as time and a half.
Shooting location: Joplin, MO
CIY will cover travel costs up to $250, no matter if traveling alone or with a parent.
Included: Lodging, meals and craft services day of filming.
Not included: Dinner, or any other meals outside the filming day. We do not pay per diem.
Transportation to and from set is responsibility of talent.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
The Discipleship Rabbit - 20-40 years of age, Male or Female, speaking, Eric’s spirit guide on his Christmas Carol-esque journey. (Open to ethnicities) Paid $250 for 2 shooting days, + $125 for 1 rehearsal day, plus 20% Agency Fees Total Pay: $625 + 20% agency fee ($125) = $750
Whit - 15-25 years of age, speaking, $125/day for 2 days, a transgendered person who is longing for an honest conversation. (Must be transgender, open to ethnicities) A separate video to be filmed with this actor sharing their experience as transgender will take place during this time. Total Pay: $250 + 20% agency fee ($50) = $300
Ryan - 15-25 years of age, $125/day for 2 days, an African American male who wants to speak out against injustice. (Must be African American) A separate video to be filmed with this actor sharing their experience against injustice will take place during this time. Total Pay: $250 + 20% agency fee ($50) = $300
Alex - 15-25 years of age, Male, $166/day for 1 day, speaking, open to ethnicities, youth group kid, class clown. Total Pay: $166 + 20% Agency Fee ($34) = $200
Juan - 15-25 years of age, Male, $125/day for 1 day, nonspeaking, open to ethnicities, youth group kid. Total Pay: $125 + 20% agency fee ($25) = $150
Tria - 15-25 years of age, Female, $125/day for 1 day, nonspeaking, open to ethnicities, youth group kid. Total Pay: $125 + 20% agency fee ($25) = $150
Julie - 15-25 years of age, Female, $125/day for 1 day, nonspeaking, open to ethnicities, youth group kid. Total Pay: $125 + 20% agency fee ($25) = $150
Angel Girl - 8-15 years of age, Female, $125/day for 1 day, nonspeaking, open to ethnicities wants to reach out to people different from her. Total Pay: $125 + 20% agency fee ($25) = $150
